The Extraordinary Story of Ordinary Monk

Monk is an American television series which is based on the genre of comedy, drama, mystery and police procedural. It was created by Andy Breckman. The executive producers of the program are Andy Breckman, David Hoberman, Tony Shalhoub, Tom Scharpling and Rob Thompson. The production companies involved in its production were Touch Television Mandeville Films, Universal Cable Productions, Universal Networks Television, NBC Universal Television Studio and Universal Media Studios. The show has successfully completed 8 seasons which includes a total of 125 episodes. It premiered on USA Network for the first time on July 12, 2002 and the last episode of the last season ended on December 4, 2009.

The main characters in the program were Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk, Bitty Schram as Sharona Fleming, Traylor Howard as Natalie Teeger, Ted Levine as Captain Leland Francis and Jason Gray Stanford as Lieutenant Randy Disher. The other reoccurring characters were Julie Teeger, Dr. Charles Kroger, Dr. Neven Bell, Trudy Anne Monk, Harold and Kevin.
The entire series revolves around Adrian Monk, who is a very brilliant detective working in San Francisco Department. His wife Trudy was killed in a car bomb blast in a parking garage. Monk thinks that the bomb was planted for him. As the show goes on and slowly the things get revealed. Adrian comes to know that the bomb was planted for his late wife Trudy. Trudy's murder was planned by those whose large conspiracy was revealed by her during her job as a journalist. Monk was unable to recover after her death. He started feeling lonely as his only strength was gone. He left his job and has been at home with Trudy's memories for more than three years. This has been the one and only case which wasn't solved by him until the end of the program.

When he got sick, the nurse Sharona Fleming took care of him. He now agrees to work as a private detective even though he was listed to be suffering from OCD that is obsessive compulsive disorder. This disease was grown after his wife's death.
He starts remaining sick after this incident and he develops a lot of phobias as well. He is listed to have more than 312 fears. The major phobias were OCD and plethora of phobias which caused a lot of problems for him and landed him in difficult situations. The fans can watch Monk online to relive the adventurous ride.
The captain Leland Stottlemeyer and Lieutnant Randall trusts Adrian rather than any other police officer for solving important and secret cases, whenever they find themselves troubled in investigation of any case. Stottlemeyer is sometimes not pleased with Adrian's behavior but he is very impressed by the way he solves the cases.
In further episodes, Adrian is seen finding clues about his wife's death but is always left empty handed. He starts focusing on other serious cases rather than Trudy's case. Monk Episodes are available on the web on a lot of sites.
