Best Community Colleges in North Carolina


The Community College System in North Carolina is the third largest in United States. Across 58 institutions forming the community college system in North Carolina, there are more than 750, 000 enrollments. The community colleges in North Carolina are part of the three major landforms of the state that constitute the three key geographic areas of the state. These are Piedmont, Appalachian Mountains and the Coastal Plain. The colleges are known for the education that they provide and also how courses are well regulated and scheduled for the benefit of the students.

Based on the rankings derived from different sources, the top five community colleges in North Carolina would be Southeastern Community College, Edgecombe Community College, Haywood Community College, Western Piedmont Community College and Samson Community College. On an average, the tuition fees for in-state and out of state students are $1560 and $7975 respectively.
Edgecombe Community College is located in Tarboro and is at a distance from 72 miles from Raleigh, the capital city. It received A- rating overall and B+ for weather and local atmosphere.
